The municipality of Malvinas Argentinas inaugurated the new Civic Center in Los Polvorines. The building, covering 562 square meters, is located at Remedios de Escalada 3300 and will bring together essential procedures and services for local residents in one place. The event was led by Mayor Leo Nardini, along with provincial authorities, representatives from the College of Lawyers, and hundreds of residents who came to tour the new facilities. According to the Argentine News Agency, the Civic Center will house the Civil Registry (now with a special room for weddings), the Public Defender's Office, a free legal clinic from the San MartÃn College of Lawyers, and the Office of Misdemeanors. This will reduce the need for travel, avoid long waits, and allow residents to handle matters in their neighborhood that previously required visiting other district offices. During the inauguration, Nardini highlighted that the project is part of the 30th anniversary of Malvinas Argentinas and is a bet on a 'proximity policy' aimed at bringing the state closer to the people and making services more accessible and efficient. He also emphasized that the building could have been opened before the elections, but the priority was to complete it and put it into operation when it was fully functional. The Civic Center adds to other recent interventions in Los Polvorines, such as paving and urban improvements, which aim to consolidate a city profile with more services and better infrastructure.
